This was my first year with the Hawks and I have really enjoyed the emphasis on good sportsmanship and the challenge to play at my best level. The coaching crew is always trying to help you improve and the entire team is very welcoming.

I have played about 3 years of Ultimate Frisbee with the Hawks, some of it being the team, a lot of it just being with friends. For me personally it has brought so much joy playing a sport like this and I love the coaches, and the spirit of the game is amazing.

I've played two years of frisbee. Those years have been so much fun. We have a great team and sportsmanship, and the best coaching of any sport I've ever played in.

After more than two years of playing Ultimate Frisbee, I can honestly say it's my favorite sport. It's fun, easy to learn, and the community is always welcoming and encouraging. The coaches and experienced players have never been condescending — everyone I've met on the field has shown me nothing but kindness and acceptance.

My kids have played in various clubs, in public school, and with the Hawks — and the difference is obvious. Every player is welcome, regardless of skill level or athletic ability, and the community is wonderful. Above all, the commitment to running a Christ-centered program shows in everything they do. The coaches pray for the kids, develop their character and sportsmanship, and invest in the life of every player. If you're looking for a way to get your kids active, help them make friends, and grow as athletes, this is it.

Every practice and game I've participated in with the Hawks, both in 10-plus seasons of playing various sports, and in 2 seasons of coaching, is a joyful memory. The leaders are always focused on bringing the best experience for the athletes, and honoring Christ in every competition.

Growing up as a homeschooler in the Bitterroot Valley in the 80s and 90s, I didn't have access to team sports and have always felt the loss of that opportunity. Now, having homeschooled my own kids, I have been immensely thankful for them to have what I didn't have. I believe team sports teach so many valuable life skills — communication, commitment, discipline, perseverance, encouragement, just to name a few. The BHAA has provided this for my kids, and I am so so grateful.

I have played ultimate for 4 years and soccer for 3 with the BHAA, and I loved it so much that I'm joining the basketball team! I am so thankful that I am able to play the sports I love surrounded by such encouraging Christian families!

I've played soccer for the Hawks for five years and ultimate frisbee for four years and have loved every minute of every season. For homeschoolers it can be hard to find adequate time to be social, and the Hawks homeschooling community, I personally think, is an awesome way to find that much needed plug-in in a Christian setting. Be orange!

Playing for the public schools has given me a unique perspective on sports. And I've noticed that I have more joy playing with kind, Jesus-centered homeschoolers. If it weren't for the people I wouldn't have tried a new sport or quit playing for the public high school to join another new team.
